Privy’s Office Inaugurated by Indonesian Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, During Australian Tour

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Indonesian Ambassador to Australia Siswo Pramono, Indonesian Consul General in Melbourne, Kuncoro Giri Waseso, Indonesian Consul General in Sydney, Vedi Kurnia Buana and Director General of International Trade Negotiations Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono, Tim Stapleton, Minister-Counselor of The Australian Embassy in Jakarta, H.E. Siswo Pramono, Indonesia Ambassador in Canberra, representatives from Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA CEPA) and Haris Setiawan, Trade Attaché who has supported Privy to enter the Australian market since 2018,

The Indonesian Government supports the digital technology ecosystem through strong regulations and has mandated in Article 29 Paragraph 2 of Government Regulation number 80-year 2019 on e-commerce that transaction receipts on e-commerce serve as authentic written evidence if electronically signed using a trusted digital certificate. By expanding in Australia, Privy hopes to collaborate with both the Australian Government and the Australian market industries to build digital trust on a global scale.

Andrew Parker, Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner ASEAN in NSW, was in attendance to also officiate the opening and noted, “Thank you very much to Marshall Pribadi and Privy team for choosing Sydney to trust as your first step to entering the market. I am very hopeful that you will be very successful here in Australia using Sydney as your starting point.”

In conjunction with the inauguration a demonstration also took place, showcasing the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Privy and esteemed companies. The signing ceremony, facilitated by Privy’s digital signature technology, signifies the commitment to collaborate and foster mutually beneficial partnerships between Privy and Sony Trading, PT Rusky Aero, Ozimex International, Eastern Cross Trading, PT Pulau Sambu, Oishi International Trading, Inastra, Aexi, and Import United. The combined value of the MOU signing at Privy’s official office opening equates to USD 27.130 million. (rp)
