In response, the Indonesian Philanthropy Board chairman Rizal Algamar hopes that the 2022 Philanthropy Outlook will not only provide an overview of philanthropy developments over the last three years, but also information regarding the dynamics, challenges and achievements between 2018 and 2020.

“It is necessary to voice priorities as key to strengthening philanthropy, namely mapping regulations for philanthropic action, especially regarding tax incentives and multi-stakeholder partnerships in order to have a broader impact,” explained Rizal.

In addition, Rizal said that the culture of sharing that has been ingrained in Indonesian society is an asset to become an empowered society. He also hopes that the survey and the holding of the 2022 Fifest themed “Philanthropy Hub: Strengthening the Philanthropy Ecosystem for Accelerating the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs” can provide opportunities, strategies and encourage community participation to advance sustainable philanthropic agenda in Indonesia.
