BNPT launches ‘Warung NKRI Digital’ to improve the ex-convicts’ quality of life

Jakarta, IO – The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) initiated ‘Warung NKRI Digital’ as part of its deradicalization program. The first launch was carried out in Kath Kahuman village, Klaten, Central Java, on Wednesday (8/2), per Detikcom, Thu (9/2).

BNPT head Commissioner-General Mohammed Rycko Amelza Dahniel said the program aims to improve the terrorism ex-convicts’ quality of life and provide job opportunities for them.

It combines the concept of a traditional stall with information technology that can be used for dialogue and training. It is hoped that this facility will provide a platform for them to develop their work skills.

“This digital stall will be equipped with digital devices, which will be able to display various essential menus,” said Rycko. “Menus for daily needs, menus for agricultural needs, menus for knowledge and training needs are also provided.”

Beyond tackling terrorism, Warung NKRI Digital also aims to strengthen defense and economic growth by displaying information about diversity, photos of state leaders, state crest Garuda and national flag.

“We hope that this program can also create a sense of unity and love of motherland,” explained Rycko. (un)
