Jakarta, IO – A number of volunteers supporting candidate pair No 2, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, held a group watch of the first debate in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election. The event was held at Prabowo Gibran’s volenteer base in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (12/12).
The volunteers showed their enthusiasm by cheering at every segment of the show divided into the themes of Government, Law, Human Rights, Corruption Eradication, Democracy, Public Services, and Communal Harmony. They wore t-shirts with pictures of the candidate pair as a form of visual support.
This joint viewing is not only restricted to volunteers, but was also open to nearby residents. The debate was held at the Jakarta office of the General Election Commission (KPU) on December 12, according to the election timeline.

The debates are scheduled from December 12 to February 4, 2024, in accordance with Article 277 of Law 7/2017 on elections. The joint viewing aims to attract more people to be involved in the political process and public debate ahead of the election.
