Jakarta, IO – We noticed a number of visitors creating artwork from plastic waste during the “Litter Critters” Exhibition at the Erasmus Huis, Jakarta, on our visit on Friday (23/06/2023). These artworks are being exhibited there from 9 June to 13 August 2023.
The exhbition was initiated by Dutch artist Arike Grill. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she found a huge number of plastic waste on the deserted beaches that she visited. Therefore, she collected the waste and used them in her works.
Other than exhibiting the works of Arike Grill and its visitors, the “Litter Critters” exhibition provides interactive activities that allow visitors to participate in recycling hands-on.
