Paris, IO – France today is beset by overtourism. Tourists are flocking to several popular destinations such as Paris.
To overcome this phenomenon, the city of Paris and several other touristy cities implement a reservation system, namely arranging or ordering tickets, tables, hotel rooms, and so on for someone at a certain time.
The new provisions were implemented to avoid crowds and save popular tourist attractions from damage due to the massive number of tourists.

Overtourism generally occurs when the number of tourists is more than the number of people living in or around the destinations, and these people start to feel inconvenienced by the “tourist invasion”. In fact, France saw 48.4 million tourists in 2022.
