Jakarta, IO – The three vice presidential candidates – Muhaimin “Cak Imin” Iskandar, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Mahfud MD — pitched their ideas at the fourth debate for organized by the General Elections Commission (KPU) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Sunday (21/1). The theme for this round was “Sustainable Development, Natural Resources, Environment, Energy, Food, Agrarian Affairs, Indigenous Communities and Villages.”
Muhaimin criticized that the current administration government is ignoring the plight of farmers and fishermen. Gibran focused on industrial downstream processing to enhance the value of Indonesia’s rich natural resources, such as nickel and tin. Meanwhile, Mahfud trained his attack on the government’s commitment to environmental preservation.

With their distinctive styles and approaches, each vice-presidential candidate contributed their unique perspectives in addressing the challenges and opportunities of sustainable development faced by Indonesia.
