Jakarta, IO – Former President of the United States Donald Trump was officially arraigned for 34 felony criminal charges of falsifying business records at the Manhattan criminal court, New York, Tuesday (4/4), reported IDN Times, Wednesday (5/4).
Trump pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Trump surrendered and was placed under arrest before he was arraigned in high-profile and historic court appearance. The prosecution accused him of seeking to undermine the integrity of the 2016 election by bribing porn star Stormy Daniels.
Daniels claimed to have been Trump’s mistress, an affairs which Trump denied. She is said to have received hush money payment to the tune of US$130,000 (Rp1.9 billion).

Despite being detained, Trump was not held behind bars. After leaving the court, he reportedly flew on his private jet back to his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, where he was expected to give a press briefing. Trump is expected to appear in his next in-person hearing set for December 4. (un)
