Jakarta, IO – Hundreds of people who come from several Islamic organizations gathered in front of the US embassy, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/10) to express their solidarity for the people of Palestine.
They urged the Indonesian government and US representatives to play an active role in ending the Israeli and Palestinian armed conflict that has resulted in bloodshed on both sides. They also criticized the US’s role in helping Israel in its war against Hamas by sending aircraft carriers and personnel.
The crow then burned the US and Israeli flags after the US embassy did not allow their representatives to enter the premises and was only willing to receive an protest letter from outside the compound.

Earlier, there was brief commotion the crowd and police officers when the protesters tried to force their way into the embassy. However, the orator managed to calm the crowd after calling for restraint.
