Jakarta, IO – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo officially declared June 10 as the National Entrepreneurship Day as a “gift” for the 52nd anniversary of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), per Kompas, Tue (11/6).
Jokowi said he has signed the presidential decree. The idea was proposed by the founder and chairman of HIPMI when they visited the Palace a few months ago.
Jokowi said the commemoration of HIPMI’s 52nd anniversary this year had sentimental value for him because it was his last time to grace the event as he will finish his term in October.

“At the 53rd anniversary, it will be President Prabowo Subianto who will grace this event,” he said.
“However, even though there will be a change in president. I don’t think any of us should worry because the existing [development] programs will be carried on [by the new president],” said Jokowi. (un)
