Jakarta, IO – Jakarta residents will enjoy a number of special services on the occasion of the city’s 497th anniversary. One is to ride the MRT for just Rp1. This special rate will only apply on Saturday (22/6) and Sunday (23/6) from 5am to 11.59pm WIB, per Kompas (13/6).
“As a form of appreciation for public transportation users in Jakarta and as part of MRT Jakarta’s participation in the celebration of DKI Jakarta’s 497th anniversary, we are implementing this special fare,” said PT MRT Jakarta spokesperson Ahmad Pratomo.
Ahmad said the rates apply to all types of payments such as bank electronic money cards and purchases via the MRT-J application. “Passengers can tap or scan at the ticket gate when entering and exiting as usual, but by just paying Rp1,” he added.

Ahmad hopes that the implementation of this special service rate can facility the mobility of the residents, allowing to participate in enlivening the celebration of Jakarta’s anniversary this year. (un)
