The waterway is a 1.26-kilometer tunnel to channel part of the Ciliwung River discharge to the East Flood Canal to control the volume of water in five rivers in Jakarta, namely the Cipinang River, Sunter River, Buaran River, Jati Kramat River and Cakung River.
