To accommodate the increasing number of players, traders and local residents finally formed the Persatuan Tenis Meja Pasat Grogol (Grogol Market Table Tennis Association), consisting of various groups, from young people to the elderly.

Table tennis players at Grogol Market do not just play to pass the time. Some of them regularly take part in table tennis competitions, both in Jakarta and outside the city. The Grogol Market Table Tennis Association also often holds internal competitions to hone the skills of its members.
The sports room at Grogol Market is expected to attract more residents to shop at Grogol Market and support local sellers. As stated in the slogan printed on one of the banners in the market, “Shopping While Sporting,” this movement aims to liven up the market and attract more consumers.
