Jakarta, IO – The Indonesian national team has secured a place on the third round of the 2026 AFC World Cup Qualification after beating the Philippines 2-0 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Tuesday (11/6) evening. The scorers were Thom Haye (32’) and Rizky Ridho (56’).
In the second-round final match of Group F, Shin Tae-yong’s team tried to take the initiative to attack by trying to press immediately at the start of the match. Seamless collaboration between Thom Haye, Marselino, Calvin Verdonk and Ragnar tried to break through the Philippine defense. However, the various opportunities created were able to be foiled by Filipino goalkeeper Kevin Rey Mendoza.
Then, Thom Haye’s shot from a distance managed to create the first goal for Indonesia. The result stayed until the halftime break.

In the second half, Indonesia was in full control of the game. Thom Haye and his teammates continued to pose a threat to the Philippine defense. Eventually, Rizky Ridho managed to double the lead with a header after capitalizing on Nathan Tjoe-A-On’s free kick.
With this result, the Indonesian team became the runner-up of Group F with 10 points from six matches.
