Jakarta, IO – Wito, 56, displays his paintings of the 2024 presidential election contenders at the Pasar Baru Painting Center, Jakarta, Tue (5/12).
Acoording to Wito, it took him nearly two months to complete the paintings, which he said is also a form of appreciation to all the candidates. Candidate pair No 1 Anies-Muhaimin is portrayed riding a Vespa motorbike to highlight the value of loyalty. According to Wito, Anies has been fond of the Italian brand since he was still in high school.

Meanwhile, candidate pair No 2 Prabowo-Gibran are depicted riding a boat as a unifying philosophy for the Indonesian archipelago. And the painting of candidate pair No 3 Ganjar-Mahfud shows them riding a bicycle as a philosophy of simplicity. Each painting is sold between Rp5 million to Rp10 million.
