Jakarta, IO – Nowadays, Andre Taulany is best known as a comedian who frequently shows up on TV channels and YouTube accounts, but back in the day, Andre started off his career as a lead vocalist in Stinky, a music band, and as an actor in the movies.
Andre is now back on film, starring in “Pasutri Gaje”, a comedy film by Falcon Pictures. “I am finally working on another movie project. I did my last movie back in 2003, which was 20 years ago, in “Kiamat Sudah Dekat,” said Andre in the film’s press conference, in Mampang, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
“Of course, I miss being in a movie project. It has been a long time, and the cast line-up is brilliant. Thank you, Falcon, and Ms. Erica as the producer, for entrusting me with a role that resembles my daily character. I decided to take this role because Reza Rahardian and Bunga Citra Lestari are the main actors. I am a big fan of theirs, you see, and am proud to be a part of this film,” he added.
“I would like to explore my acting potential. Everyone and my friends know that I am a comedian, but I may have the potential to act, and you hardly know that,” he teased.

Besides Reza, BCL, and Andre, “Pasutri Gaje” will also feature Indro Warkop, Ira Wibowo, Arifin Putra, Mieke Amalia, Kiky Saputri, Nadine Alexandra, Zsa Zsa Utari, Tarzan Srimulat, Tommy Lim, M Iqbal Sulaiman, Joshia Frederico, Ephy Pae, Maya Wulan, Baby Jovanca, Niniek Arum, Tj Ruth, Ence Bagus, and Yessy Kenyang.
Pasutri Gaje is a film adapted from the famous webtoon of the same title, which has over 800 million views. Beginning on June 23, 2023, Fajar Bustomi will be directing Pasutri Gaje. The film is set to premiere in all Indonesian cinemas in 2024. (rp)
