Jakarta, IO – The festive atmosphere at the peak event of the 497th anniversary of Jakarta in the Silang Monas area (22/6). This event is part of Jakarnaval, commonly known as “Malam Jaya Raya,” which is routinely held by the Jakarta Provincial Government to mark the culmination of the celebration.
Various festivities and a series of events can be enjoyed by the residents of Jakarta and its surrounding cities. The entertainment stage, filled with a host of famous musicians and artists, is one of the main attractions, presenting stunning performances and entertaining the visitors. In addition, there are night market games and rides which enhanced the lively atmosphere, as well as the parade which showcased the cultural diversity and creativity of Jakarta residents.
Themed “Jakarta Global Berjuta Pesona” (Global Jakarta Brimming with Charm), the event, which took place from 7-11pm WIB successfully attracted tens of thousands of visitors. This is also a special moment because it is the first year that Jakarta celebrates its anniversary without its status as the nation’s capital city.

Aside from concerts, Malam Jaya Raya also presented various other interesting rides, float car carnival and a spectacular fireworks display. Visitors can also enjoy the stunning video mapping projected at Monas, which displayed visuals that combine art and technology and tells the story of the history and development of the city to date.
The enthusiasm of Jakarta residents was clearly visible in this event. The main stage area was crowded with visitors who brought along their families. Many of them captured the special moment through their lenses, adding to the excitement and unforgettable memories.
