Jakarta, IO – A number of supporters of the Persija Jakarta football team thronged the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout (Bundaran HI) area, Jakarta, Tuesday (28/11).
The supporters nicknamed Jak Mania gathered while setting off fireworks to celebrate the 95th birthday of Persija FC. The excitement radiated through fireworks that painted the sky around the famed landmark accompanied by chants and fluttering flags of the club.
Persija FC was founded in 1928 under the name Voetbalbond Indonesische Jacatra (VIJ). It was redesignated Persija Jakarta in 1978 marking the new beginning in the club’s journey, realizing a proud rise in Indonesian football scene.

This 95th anniversary celebration is a moment to celebrate past achievements and marks the strong commitment of the club and its supporters to move forward into a future full of potential.
