Tangerang, IO – Craftsmen complete orders for Pharaoh statues made of styrofoam in the Neglasari district, Tangerang, Tuesday (9/01). The business has been running for seven years and they have even penetrated the Asian market with turnover reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah.
The cooperative coordinator Fahmi Ulumuddin said that the venture started when he and his fellow craftmen whose hobby in painting used a small room at the back of the house for the production process.
At that time, they had difficulty getting orders and only received on average one order per month. However, because we continue to build relationships with event organizers, they now received more orders, not only for birthdays and weddings, but also festive celebrations such as Eid, Chinese New Year, Christmas and New Year which usually comes from social media and e-commerce platforms, from various companies.

Now, in a month they can receive between 10 to 20 orders. The cost started from Rp100,000 to Rp65 million depending on the level of difficulty. Orders come not only from Greater Jakarta, but also from Bandung, Surabaya, Bali, Kalimantan and North Maluku. They even export to Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
