The dynamic of spreading international peace through multilateral diplomacy: reflection for the 78th United Nations birthday celebration

On October 24, the United Nations, as the largest international organization, will shortly celebrate its 78th anniversary. The moment of celebration becomes such an awaited-time to show a more charismatic posture of UN performance itself before the international public, where their states are members. During the establishment of the UN, it seems this expectation was dynamic.

The contention of hub position on the Land of Cendrawasih

Despite its rolling hills and mountains, Papua – the Land of Cendrawasih – is blessed with a number of ports. Along its coastlines, ports with impressive performance, such as Jayapura Port in Papua Province and Sorong Port – which has become part of Southwest Papua after regional proliferation – decorate the region. I once had an opportunity to take a glimpse at the two ports, experiencing the hustle and bustle there.

Artificial Intelligence and Architecture Education, Quo Vadis?

Last month, I happened to have the opportunity to attend an international conference on supply chain and operations management in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Thus, they must be adhered to while serving as a constitutional guarantee for sustainable efforts to realize a prosperous society.

Presidential candidacy: Beyond the age restriction issue

Apparently, the decision of the government, the House of Representatives (DPR), and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) to remove the Draft Law on General Elections (RUU Pemilu) from the priority list of the 2021 National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) will have an enduring effect. Early on, the government argued that the current Election Law and Regional Election Law, Law No. 1 of 2017 concerning General Elections and Law No. 1 of 2015 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors, had been implemented effectively during the examination of the 2019 Simultaneous Elections and 2020 Simultaneous Regional Elections.

Stop Selling Arms To Myanmar’s Military

This past week Marzuki Darusman, a former attorney general and head of a UN fact-finding mission on Myanmar, lodged a complaint with the Indonesian rights commission, or Komnas HAM, in which he and other plantiffs claim that three Indonesian state-owned weapons manufacturers broke the law by selling arms to Myanmar’s military.

Rempang Eco-City conflicts, human rights violations and public information openness

Power, politics and law

The three most influential pillars of a state of law are power, politics and law. These are intertwined and mutually influence each other. Either justify any means to achieve a goal or use the correct means to achieve a goal – whatever the planned goal happens to be.
