Jakarta, IO – Hundreds of visitors strolled in the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta, Thursday (23/5). Monas has been a favorite place for Jakarta residents as well as tourists from other regions and parts of the world to visit, especially during the extended holidays.
Visitors can do many activities here such as taking photos, relaxing in the shady park, and visiting the museum and the observation deck atop the iconic golden flame monument, or ride the sightseeing cars which will take them on a tour around Monas.

The majority of visitors come with friends, relatives and extended families to spend their weekend enjoying fun-filled and mind-refreshing picnic on the grass field. Since its public opening on July 12, 1975, Monas has been a must-visit destination in Jakarta.
