Jakarta, IO – Indonesian men’s singles shuttler Anthony Sinisuka Ginting faces Danish reigning champion Viktor Axelsen in the final match of the 2023 Indonesia Open at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (18/6).
Ginting lost in two straight games with a final score of 14-21 and 13-21. This defeat added to his record of losses against Axelsen, who won his third consecutive Indonesian Open titles.
Meanwhile, in women’s singles event, Chen Yu Fei from China was triumphant over Spain’s Carolina Marin with a score of 21-18 and 21-19.
Japanese mixed doubles, Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino were defeated by China’s Zheng Si Wei and Huang Ya Qiong with a score of 21-14 and 21-11.

Japan’s women’s doubles players Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota also lost to Korea’s pair Lee So Hee/Baek Ha Na with a score of 22-20, 21-10. Meanwhile, in the men’s doubles final, India’s Satwiksairaj Rankiredd and Chirag Shetty won the title after beating Malaysia’s Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik in two straight games with the score of 21-17 and 21-18.
