YPA-MDR holds driving safety training to students it supports in Yogyakarta

YPA-MDR was established in 2009 to implement PT Astra International Tbk’s sustainable social contributions in the field of education by supporting schools in Indonesia’s frontier, outermost and least developed regions and a manifestation of Astra’s pillars for Smart Indonesia.

YPA-MDR’s vision, mission and objectives are to become an institution that creates excellent schools in underprivileged regions so they are able to produce quality Human Resources (HR) as agents of change towards a prosperous society.

The program is centered on four pillars, namely academic, character, life skills and cultural & arts. In addition, YPA-MDR also provides assistance in the form of infrastructure to support teaching and learning activities according to the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) set forth by the government.

To date, YPA-MDR has had 112 foster schools from the elementary, junior high and vocational/high school levels level across 13 regencies/municipalities, namely South Lampung, Serang, Tangerang, Bogor, Majalengka, Kapuas, West Kutai, North Barito, Bantul, Gunungkidul, Pacitan, Kupang and Rote Ndao.
