Platforms that have yet to register past the deadline will be blocked by Kominfo. However, Kominfo’s director general for applications and informatics Semuel Pengerapan has clarified that this measure will be the last resort.
“In the first stage, Kominfo will send a warning letter to digital platforms that have not yet to register on July 21, a day after the registration deadline,” said Samuel.

If this is not heeded, in the second stage Kominfo will impose an administrative sanction in the form of a fine. In the third stage, the platform will be subject to the harshest sanctions, namely temporary blocking of its service.
“The blocking will only be lifted if the platforms comply with the policy,” said Samuel. (un)
