Jakarta, IO – Ars-Vita Alamsyah never thought she would get the opportunity that many people so crave. She became the first Indonesian woman to successfully spread her wings globally by working at SpaceX, Elon Musk’s aerospace company located in California, United States.
Hijab-donning Vita works as a Supply Chain Reliability Engineer II since August 2021. Of course, it wasn’t a walk in the park for her to have come this far. But she is not the type who easily gives up on her dream and ambition.
Ars-Vita was trained as a mechanical engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, United States. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2017 followed by a master’s degree from one of the most prestigious universities in the world, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Vita hopes with her expertise she can deliver innovation at SpaceX in particular and the aerospace industry in general. According to her, one of the biggest challenges was how she could prove that she is suited for the job and to prove her worth by delivering the best performance and results at SpaceX. (un)
