Jakarta, IO – NasDem deputy chairman Ahmad Ali acknowledged that the three names – Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa — that have been officially recommended by party cadres would not automatically get presidential ticket in the upcoming election.
The party would still need to communicate with the three candidates and other parties. “We will offer the three figures to other political parties. We will see which political parties can accept them to be jointly nominated,” Ali told CNN Indonesia on Monday (27/6).
He admitted that NasDem did not want to make hasty decision. The party is currently looking for a common vision and mission for coalition building. However, he claimed that the three recommended figures received a positive response from many parties.
