Calcium binders

During the pandemic, a lot of people ingest calcium-rich vitamin D3. “It’s dangerous when the calcium does not get absorbed into other organs that need them, such as the intestines, kidneys, and blood vessels. Therefore, our bodies need additional vitamin K2. It binds calcium and make sure that the latter heads towards its target, i.e. the bone and not elsewhere. Magnesium is also important because of its function as a controller, just like vitamin D3. It optimizes the absorption of calcium and vitamin K2, which to repeat, directs the calcium to where it supposes to go. Consuming 50 mg of magnesium a day prevents the risk of scattering the unabsorbed calcium all through the blood vessels,” dr. Isa stated.

At the same event, Dr. Raphael Aswin Susilowidodo, M.Si, VP Research and Development Soho Global Health, declared that Imboost Bone contains vitamins D3 and K2, and magnesium, for optimal absorption of calcium in the body. “We have an effervescent type product that allows users to avoid the sense of ‘consuming drugs’. Furthermore, it is sugarless, making it safe for diabetics. It also contains 500 mg of vitamin C that is safe for the stomach,” he said.

Finally, dr. Isa’s tips for maintaining bone health include consuming foods with sufficient calcium levels to cover your daily needs; performing simple, consistent, routine exercise like biking, jogging, or walking; making efforts to stop smoking, as well as drinking soda and alcohol, as these can accelerate bone decay; and performing routine bone mass checks once every six months.
