Jakarta, IO – In celebration of its 266th anniversary, Pura Mangkunegaran will hold a series of events for Solo residents in March.
Sri Paduka Mangkoenagoro X, KGPAA Bhre Cakarahutomo Wira Sudjiwo (Gusti Bhre) said one of the events is Laras Hati Mangkunegaran Music and Culinary Festival, chosen due to their universal value and ability to reach wider audience.
“Regeneration in society continues to happen, but culture must be preserved,” said Gusti Bhre at a press conference in Kemang, Monday (20/2).
The music festival will be held on Sunday (12/3) and Pura Mangkunegaran will present singers across genres and generations. Marion Jola, Brigitta Hardi, Diskoria and Vina Panduwinata are a number of artists who will enliven the show.
Vina Panduwinata, who was also at the press conference, said she was happy to be involved in commemorating the anniversary of Pura Mangkunegaran. The Indonesian diva, affectionately known as Mama Ina, did not divulge the songs she will be performing.
