IO, JAKARTA – Le Meridien Jakarta introduces VAANGO – The Gastronomic Heritage of India in La Brasserie restaurant. Vaango, which means “come in” in Tamil, brings guests on a culinary journey of the best cuisines from three regions in India (North, Goa, dan South) from July 15 to August 25, 2019.

India is the country of a thousand spices, aromas and culinary traditions. India’s regional and cultural diversity is reflected beautifully in its food. Indian cuisine is known for its diversity, classicalness, and traditional richness. Indian dishes are a combination of delicate tastes.

To enhance the experience of authentic Indian cuisine, Le Meridien Jakarta has invited three guest chefs from the Marriott International Hotel in India. They are Ashwani Mall from The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, Gurudas Shantaram Mandekar from W. Goa, and Sathya Narayana Chary from Sheraton Grand Banguluru Whitefield & Convention Center. The three guest chefs, who inherited authentic culinary skills and the gastronomic culture of Indian cuisine, will present very famous and delicious dishes for guests.

Guests are invited to trips to 3 different regions in three different time periods with a variety of delicious Indian dishes at La Brasserie restaurant:

  • July 15 – 28, 2019 for North Indian cuisine with Chef Ashawani from The Westin Pune Koregaon Park
  • July 29 – August 11 for Goa with Chef Gurud from W. Goa
  • August 12 – 25, 2019 for South Indian cuisine with Chef Sathya from Sheraton Grand Banguluru Whitefield & Convention Center

From Dhal to soft Naans, to Gulab Jamuns which melt in the mouth, La Brasserie presents the best cuisine India has to offer.

Furthermore, on Sunday, August 4, 2019, Chef Guru will collaborate with Executive Chef Desmond Carneiro and a culinary team for the GOAN SEAFOOD BBQ POOL PARTY with a buffet of various India dishes in La Brasserie & the swimming pool area. Guests will also be entertained by a live band and a DJ. This special Sunday Brunch can be enjoyed for Rp 495.000 ++ per orang.
