At the peak, continued Wayan, the victim spent his time enjoying the sun and taking pictures. Two hours later, the group came back down.
“When descending, suddenly one of the group members shouted that someone had fallen into a 50-meter-deep ravine. A couple of climbers and guides tried to help the victim, but Robert was found lifeless,” Wayan explained.
Post-mortem examination showed Robert suffered serious injuries to the head and broken ribs. (rr)
