Afghanistan, IO – The United Nations (UN) says six million Afghans are at risk of starvation amid the crisis in the country. The statement was made by the UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths because aid from many countries to the Afghan people has stopped since the Taliban took control of the country.
“Afghanistan is experiencing various crises, including humanitarian, economic, climate, hunger and financial,” said Griffiths, as reported by Merdeka, Friday (2/9).
He said other problems that also plague Afghanistan are the ongoing conflict, climate change and food insecurity which have exacerbated the crisis in Afghanistan.
