Umbul Sidomukti, the beloved tour of Semarang

IO – Umbul Sidomukti, A natural mountain tourist destination, which offers the concept of an excursion, while testing our adventure spirits. This tourism place is located in Sidomukti Village, Bandungan District, Semarang Regency, Central Java Province.

To get to this tourist destination is quite easy, because there are many directions along the way. From Semarang, you head towards Solo, until you see Lemah Abang gas station on the left side of the road. The gas station, faced directly with the junction of Bandungan. Then take the right to go to Bandungan, until you reach the Jimbaran Market.

On the left side of the road, there is an uphill road towards Umbul Sidomukti. If you feel confused, you can ask the locals. Of course they know, because Umbul Sidomukti is one of the excellent natural tourism location in Semarang and surrounding areas.

Umbul Sidomukti presents a complete nature tour package. Ranging from multilevel swimming pools, camping grounds, cottage tourism, ATVs, horse riding tours, and a series of other adventure tourism activities. If you don’t bring food, you don’t need to worry! Because there are Lesehan huts with various menus and stalls selling various snacks.

The manager also provides a fairly large parking lot. Considering the road conditions are tortuous, uphill, and quite narrow, only vehicles in prime condition can get through this route. Mini buses, a vehicle which has many passengers, can still reach the location.

The concept of a multilevel swimming pool, as well as the arrangement of natural rocks that adorn the walls and floor of the pool, provides a beautiful artistic touch. Another interesting fact, is the location of the swimming pool at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level, which makes it the highest swimming pool in Central Java.

Soaking in the cold pool water, whilst looking at the green hills and valleys, makes your body and mind feel refreshed. The water used to fill the pond, comes from a natural water source located on Mount Ungaran.

Extreme rides that drives the adrenaline including flying fox, marine bridge, ATV, rappelling, and a vehicle that combines three challenges (highest triangle). You can start by trying the ride of flying fox which is 70 meters high, and 110 meters long. Slide from one hill to another, by hanging on a kernmantle rope. Cool, right! This vehicle is touted as the highest flying fox in Indonesia.

Next is the marine bridge vehicle, which is to climb the bridge over the altitude. If you want to do this challenge, you need enough energy to step up, and withstand the strong winds that hit the body.
