UIN Jakarta-AIESEC agree on youth internship and exchange programs

IO, South Tangerang – UIN Jakarta and AIESEC Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Wednesday (07/03/2019), at the Rector’s office, Campus I of UIN Jakarta. Present for the event was the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, accompanied by Vice Rector for Cooperation Andi Faisal Bakti, Head of Center for International Cooperation Dadi Darmadi, and Head of Center for Community Service UIN Jakarta Kamarusdiana.

Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis expressed in her remarks her appreciation for the cooperation scheme which aims to promote and develop academic cooperation.

“We are looking forward to collaborate with AIESEC in pursuing initiatives and programs that will benefit both organizations,” said the Rector, as quoted by the Public Relations organ of UIN Jakarta.

Meanwhile, President of AIESEC in Indonesia Azalia Zatadini said it is with great pleasure that AIESEC has UIN Jakarta as a valuable partner in empowering youth so they can make a positive impact on society. “Through this cooperation, we hope to bring more international volunteer and internship opportunities to students,” she said.

AIESEC is an international organization which aims at improving the leadership skills of the youth. AIESEC is the largest organization of its kind in the world, and focuses on helping youth become ambassadors abroad to run social projects. AIESEC also focuses on participation in the Global Learning Environment and is headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The MoU will cover three areas of cooperation: one is the implementation of international community service (KKN) with AIESEC in Indonesia. (est)
