According to plan, Jordi and Sandy are expected to lay for Indonesia in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification in early June in Kuwait.
Jordi Amat indeed has an Indonesian heritage from his grandmother, who hails from Makassar, South Sulawesi and is a descendant of M.D Kansil, the King of Siau who ruled from 1895 to 1909. Jordi’s mother, however, was born in Holland and his father is a Spaniard.
Sandy Walsh is also of Indonesian ancestry from his mother, Brigitta Portier whose parents are Javanese. Sandy revealed that his grandfather was from Surabaya, while his grandmother was from Purworejo. They got married and moved to the Netherlands. Sandy’s father is an English-Irish of Somalia descent.
