Traveloka Epic Sale: Making your year-end vacation comes true with discounts of up to 80%

Jakarta – Traveloka, the fore­most digital travel and lifestyle ser­vice in Southeast Asia, returns with the Traveloka Epic Sale program that allows customers to plan and realize their dream year-end travels for 2019. Unlike the first Traveloka Epic Sale held in April, the Epic Sale to be held on 25-29 September 2019 will not use online channels only. It will also contain a series of physical events for its customers at Fashion Atrium, Kota Kasablanka Mall, Ja­karta. This double event is proof of Traveloka’s commitment to contin­uously innovate and respond to the needs of its customers.

Simultaneously held in 3 coun­tries, i.e. Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, the second Traveloka Epic Sale is meant to reward Traveloka users and help them enjoy their limited free time in 2019. After all, September is a crucial month when people start to plan for their year-end trips, both in terms of seeking funding and seeking alternative travel products. Therefore, Travelo­ka seeks to emphasize its role as a travel and lifestyle service provider by inspiring users to go to new des­tinations as well as providing them with alternative solutions to get to these destinations, allowing them to go to the trip of their dreams.

The second Traveloka Epic Sale offers a fantastic discount of up to 80% for Traveloka’s 11 top products: Hotel Accommodation, Airplane Tickets, Airplane + Hotel Package, Xperience, Airport Pickup/Drop Off, Inter-City Shuttle/Travels, Car Rentals, Railway Tickets, JR Pass­es, Cinema Tickets, and eats. The discounts also apply to Protect and other products. “Not only are they offered amazing discounts, cus­tomers also have the opportunity to obtain additional discount coupons and attractive merchandise available only at the physical Traveloka Epic Sale held at Kota Kasablanka Mall. The 5-day event has a concept of the first Instagrammable Travel Fair in Indonesia. This would provide a different experience for customers when planning for their trips,” Shir­ley Lesmana, Traveloka’s Head of Accommodation Marketing, stated in the Press Conference for the sec­ond Traveloka Epic Sale.

Shirley further stated that Trav­eloka hopes that its second Epic Sale Program would build on the success of the first Epic Sale pro­gram, and have an equally warm welcome from Indonesians. This success was proven by the fact that transactions during the Epic Sale doubled those recorded at the start of the year. Furthermore, the Traveloka Epic Sale contributed to the growth of consumption in the hotel industry, even during low season. Traveloka internal data shows that more than 1 million accommodation facilities coop­erate with Traveloka, whether hotels, villas, resorts, or apart­ments. These facilities are dis­tributed widely in more than 100 countries, and 60,000 of them are located in Southeast Asia.

John Safenson, Traveloka VP of Market Management, stated that through the Traveloka Epic Sale, “Traveloka wants to always provide the best experience for not just our users, but also for our business partners, such as our hotel part­ners. During the first Epic Sale, our hotel bookings increased 18-fold. Even during low season, we still had great booking rates,” he said. Nyoman Sarya fur­ther expresses his support of the second Traveloka Epic Sale. “We believe that the upcoming Travelo­ka Epic Sale will have even more success than the one held in April, as it will include special exciting activities the people can get only through the offline portion. We ex­pect people would be even more in­terested in planning their holidays because of it,” he said.

Another feature of the Epic Sale is Epic Hour special offers, which are offers made available during specific hours only. Now, even more products participate in the event. For example, the Accommodation product Epic Hour will be held from Wednesday to Saturday (24-28 Sep­tember 2019) at 12.00-13.00 WIB. Furthermore, customers will also be pampered with the special Secret Epic Hour for accommodation prod­ucts on these dates at 18.00-19.00 WIB, available only on the physical Epic Sale held at Kota Kasablanka.

Epic Hour will also be held for international airplane tickets every day at 10.00-11.00 WIB during the Epic Sale. Epic Hour offers for oth­er transportation products include: Airport Pickup/Drop Off Epic Hour (13.00-14.00 WIB), Car Rental Epic Hour (14.00-15.00 WIB), and Inter-Shuttle/Travel Epic Hour (17.00-18.00 WIB).
