“I hope that there will be an action to pick up my husband and his cousin and friends there. Because there is currently no repatriation scheduled. I have reported to the foreign ministry,” explained Irma.

Irma revealed she was told to wait by the Foreign Ministry. However, Irma asked that her husband be sent home immediately due to allegation of torture. “Because it is true that they were tortured and threatened, as acknowledged by the victims who have just returned home,” she said.

Meanwhile, another family member of the victim, Yanto, said his brother is still in Cambodia. He begged the government to help free him.

“My brother is now no longer employed. From the information I got, he has been dismissed on account of making mistakes. One of them is taking sick leave without permission and falling asleep, maybe he was exhausted at work,” said Yanto.
