The altar takes the shape of a bed complete with pillows as well as a small bolster with mosquito nets. Above it hangs a chandelier; there is also a place for burning incense as well as candles which are often lighted at dawn and put out in the afternoon.

“There are many devotees of other religions who also visit this place; we welcome anyone who without exception,” said Santoso, who has taken care of the temple since 1982.

According to historian Luki Muharam, Raden Suria is the offsping of Raden Aria Wira Tanu also known as Dalem Cikundul (the founder of Cianjur) with Dewi Arum Sari, a genie princess.
