“In general, the public chose PDIP, Gerindra, PKB, and Golkar as the top four choices, while PKS and the Democratic Party are next in line, with a relatively similar proportion,” explained Executive Director of Charta Politika Yunarto Wijaya.
Other parties had seats in the parliament besides the top nine, namely Perindo, Gelora, Hanura, Ummat, PSI and PBB. However, their electability rate was below 1.0 percent.
The Charta Politika survey was conducted between April 10-17, 2022, with 1,220 respondents using a stratified random sampling method (also known as “multistage random sampling”). The margin of error is about 2.83 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
Other surveys conducted by the Populi Center and Trust Indonesia Research & Consulting also reveal that PDIP is the party most favored by respondents.
