Wonosobo, IO – Mount Prau, towering 2,565 meters above sea level, is located on Dieng Plateau, Wonosobo regency, Central Java, on the border with Kendal. The highest peak of the Dieng plateau offers breathtaking beauty that is very popular among climbers.
Reaching the top only takes about 2-3 hours so it is very suitable for beginners. There are three routes one can take, Kenjurun in Kendal, Pranten in Batang, and Pathak Banteng in Wonosobo. From the peak, one can marvel at the mesmerizing golden sunrise and sunset and sea of white puffy clouds moving slowly carried by the wind, a truly unforgettable panorama.
