IO, Jakarta – The natural panorama of Samosir Island, North Sumatra is inevitable. Host of GFNY Indonesia Samosir 2018
The island recently hosted the Gran Fondo New York (GFNY) performance. Participants from domestic and foreign countries are preparing at the starting line in the Gran Fondo New York (GFNY) Indonesia Samosir 2018 held in Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. There are at least around 800 participants enlivening this international event.
Samosir Regent Head Rapidin Simbolon immediately initiated it to start at 6:30 a.m., accompanied by Banyuwangi Regent Head Abdullah Azwar Annas who was accompanied by his wife. Also alongside the Director of the Lake Toba Authority Agency (BPODT) Arie Prasetyo, and the owner of the Indonesian GFNY Chair Axel Moeller.
The participants immediately pedaled their pedals when the starting flag was lifted accompanied by typical North Sumatra music. They fought each other fast along Samosir’s smooth road.
In this event there are two classes that compete, namely Medio Fondo and Granfondo. Both classes are different in terms of distance. Medio Fondo takes a distance of 103 km, while Granfondo is 142 km.
In addition to physical endurance, participants must also concentrate on completing the track. As they will be presented with a typical natural panorama of Samosir Island. The area that became one of the 10 Priority Destinations does have an exotic nature that is very charming.
