IO, Purwokerto – A total of 68 awards were bestowed by Soedirman University (Unsoed) Purwokerto, Central Java, to students with achievements, both at international and national levels. The awards were given at the 2019 Student Achievement Award Night, which was held at the Soemardjito Building, Thursday (5/12).
Dra. Krisnhoe Maya Woelandari, M.M, Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, in her speech said that one of the measurements of the assessment of a university is student activities. This shows that student activities are not considered as a leisure or complement to learning. Therefore, this award is given to further motivate students in promoting the name of Unsoed, both internationally and nationally.
“I appreciate and give support to every student activity. Alhamdulillah, this year the achievements of students in sports have increased,” she said.
A total of 166 outstanding students were recorded to receive 99 medals, consisting of three medals in the arts, 28 medals in reasoning, and 68 medals in sports.
