Jakarta, IO – The suspects in the murder of Brigadier Yoshua Hutabarat (Brigadier J) will undergo a polygraph/lie detector test.
National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division’s general crimes director Brig. Gen. Andi Rian Djajadi said the tests have been scheduled for Monday (5/9), Tuesday (6/8) and Wednesday (7/9). Two suspects will take the test per day, Antara reported on Tuesday (6/9).
“Suspects Chief Brigadier Ricky Rizal and Kuat Ma’ruf on Monday, Putri Candrawathi and witness Susi on Tuesday and Insp. Gen. Ferdy Sambo on Wednesday. That’s the plan,” said Andi.
The tests will be carried out at the National Police’s Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) in Sentul, Bogor regency.
“The schedule is around one o’clock this afternoon,” Andi said.
According to the one-star general, Putri Candrawati and Susi have agreed to take the test.
“God willing, they will come,” he said.
Andi said the polygraph test will measure the honesty of their testimonies based on their physiological reactions. The test, he said, is required to complete the case files and as evidence. (rr)
