“I need to clarify that the activity to express ones’ opinions in public without notifying the police in accordance with prevailing regulation can be dispersed by the law enforcement apparatus,” said Zulpan.
Based on Law 9/1998 on Freedom of Expression in Public, the application for a permit is a requirement that must be fulfilled before holding a demonstration.
“It has to be submitted to the police at least 3×24 hours before the planned activity is to be held,” said Zulpan. (rr)
