Jakarta, IO – Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali said Indonesia will provide special security measures for Israeli national football team competing in the 2023 U-20 World Cup in the country.
“There will be a special discussion about this later. Surely our security apparatus will be able to provide a sense of security. This is something that calls for special attention,” Amali told CNN Indonesia, Thursday (23/6).
Amali explained that matters relating to the potential participants for the 2023 U-20 World Cup have been discussed since 2019 when Indonesia was supposed to host the 2021 edition before the event was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Indonesia was then given the opportunity to host it in 2023.
