Lombok, IO – The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno hopes that racer Enea Bastianini from the Gresini team will win again when the MotoGP series takes place at the Mandalika Circuit, 18-20 March.
Bastianini managed to take first place in the first MotoGP series at the Losail Circuit Qatar, Sunday 6 March. Bastianini, who finished ahead of Brad Binder and Pol Espargaro, is now top of the drivers’ standings with 25 points. This victory is Gresini Racing’s first victory in MotoGP since Toni Elias in the 2006 Portugal Series at the Estoril Circuit.
Through his Instagram, Monday 7 March, Sandiaga congratulated Bastianini and his team. According to the Antara report, Sandiaga was proud because the Italian team’s victory also raised the name of Indonesia. The reason is, Gresini Racing is a MotoGP squad that is very thick with Indonesian nuances.
This cannot be separated from the many sponsors from Indonesia who support their work in the Grand Prix event. The sponsors attached to the Ducati Gresini Racing motorcycle include cold medicine companies, spare parts, oil, the motorcycle community in Indonesia and helmets. Bastianini uses the helmet for himself.
In addition, Gresini Racing is also an ambassador for “Wonderful Indonesia” thanks to the collaboration between them and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. This well-known program aims to promote various destinations in the country.

“Hopefully this will be a sign that Indonesian tourism is rising after two years of facing such heavy economic challenges, due to the pandemic,” said Sandiaga while uploading a photo of Bastianini kissing the fairing of his Ducati Desmosedici GP21 motorcycle at Parc Ferme after winning at Losail.
Sandiaga also promised to serve Indonesian specialties when Gresini Racing arrived in Indonesia, to take part in the Indonesian MotoGP or Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at the Mandalika Circuit.
