Jakarta, IO – Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno showcased Indonesian-made natural straw made of purun at the High-level Thematic Debate on Tourism held by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, on Wednesday (4/5).
“We immediately showed that this purun-based straw that can be a solution to solve environmental issues,” said Sandiaga as reported by Detik, Saturday (6/5).

Purun is a type of reed with straight, hollow, and leafless stems, making it an effective substitute for plastic straws.
