Jakarta, IO – Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno estimates that the economic turnover during the Eid holiday may reach Rp72 trillion given the extended length of holidays and collective leaves.
He explained that the average expenditure of domestic tourists in 2020 was Rp1.5 million. Meanwhile, tourists from Java vacationing on the island spent an average of Rp900,000 to Rp1.5 million.

“It is predicted that 48 million people will make the exodus trips this year because the government has relaxed restrictions and allowed people to take holidays and extended collective leave,” said Sandiaga.
