Sulawesi, IO – The 2022 Sandeq Festival will feature West Sulawesi-style sail boats with the emblems of all 34 provinces in Indonesia.

Acting West Sulawesi Governor Akmal Malik said it is meant to show support for the development of the National Capital City (IKN) Nusantara.

“We need support from various parties, we are waiting the proposal and I am ready to visit 33 provinces,” Akmal told Suara on Wednesday (13/7).

He said the concept for the 2022 Sandeq Festival, which will take place near the end of the year, is to sail 34 boats from Sulawesi across the Makassar Strait to IKN in East Kalimantan. Although he still encounters a number of obstacles, he believes the team that handles the event will be able to tackle them.
