Borisov said Russia would now begin to establish its own project, the Russian orbital station.
The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) previously said it would stop operating the ISS in 2030 and would drop it in the Pacific Ocean in 2031.

ISS is considered very instrumental in the development of science and technology and many projects of NASA, Japan, Canada, Russia and the European Space Agency. The space laboratory has been used by 19 countries and has been visited by more than 200 astronauts.
The ISS was launched in November 1998 and was designed to last 15 years. But in fact, the ISS has been operating for 22 years. News of the construction of Russia’s own ISS has been circulating since April 2021. Roscosmos said it hopes to launch it in 2025. (un)
