Jakarta, IO – The long-term visa will be granted to Indonesian citizens who can show proof of accomodation there, reported CNBC Indonesia, Thursday (2/3).

Apart from Indonesia, the visa is also offered to several countries in the Americas, the Middle East and other Asian countries.

“The list approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin includes Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Iran, Cambodia, China, North Korea, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey and Philippines,” wrote Russian state-owned media Russia Beyond.

This policy comes at a time when Russia is under Western sanctions after it launched what it termed “special military operations” against Ukraine in February last year.
